What Information Is Needed for an Industrial Fan Quotation?

Prepare airflow, pressure, temperature, medium, materials, motor and installation details for a more accurate fan proposal.

What Information Is Needed for an Industrial Fan Quotation?

Performance data

State the design airflow and required static or total pressure at the fan connection. If the duty is uncertain, provide a duct layout and equipment list so resistance can be reviewed.

  • Airflow in m³/h, m³/s or CFM
  • Static or total pressure in Pa
  • Normal and maximum operating points
  • Continuous, intermittent or emergency duty

Gas and site conditions

Provide temperature, density, humidity, dust loading, particle characteristics and any corrosive, toxic or explosive components. State altitude and indoor or outdoor installation because both affect selection and construction.

Mechanical and electrical requirements

Include voltage, frequency, phase, enclosure rating, efficiency class, speed control, preferred drive arrangement, orientation, mounting constraints, material, coating, noise limit and required accessories.

Standards and documentation

List required fire rating, explosion protection, performance certification, inspection documents and destination-country standards at the enquiry stage. Unsupported requirements should be identified before quotation rather than assumed.
